Llifetime Achievement Award

Hello,
I am a new shoe groupie with a problem I hope you can help me with - first I wish to tell you how my first 2 pairs of platforms have lifted my spirits! I am a 41 year old mother of 2, I consider myself fairly stylish, and also I am breast cancer survivor. I just finished chemo (hooray) and am bald and have been for a while now. Surgery and chemo do take a bit of the blush out of one's cheeks, etc., BUT there are always shoes! Purses, lip gloss and shoes, shoes, shoes! I wore my E.F. shoes to every infusion to the delight of the nursing staff as well as a couple of the younger (40 is considered young for breast cancer), more hip infusion patients. Seriously, one nurse stopped in the middle of sticking me to get ready for treatment to scribble down the name of your brand!

As a birthday celebration in late July my husband took me to a Flaming Lips concert, and we ended up perched on a very steep hill which caused me to remove my platforms as it was impossible to even sit with out bare feet to dig into the dirt and grass. I was not so sharp and alert as I am now and carried my shoes with me to the ladies - well one strap some how slipped out of a shoe and was lost to the wilds of Berkeley for good. Some sympathetic young stoner even tried to help me by using his lighter to illuminate my desperate search as I tried to retrace my steps! It was hopeless. However, I am not. Is there any way that the strap can be replaced? I love those shoes. On some days they helped to preserve my dignity. I should have worn the pair with the strap attached and I regret my outfit choice that night more than you know, unless of course you have been in my shoes as they say.

Thank You,
N.S. - San Francisco, CA
